Original Sigma Card Peter Barnes England and West Bromwich Albion in Mint Condition

A mint condition and an original Sigma Sports Card Number 3, Peter Barnes would sign for Leeds United but at the time this card was published was an England and Manchester City player but on his way to West Bromwich Albion.  The card was published in 1979.

The cards were explicitly designed to be stuck into The Supporters Football Form Book and Diary, 1979-80 edition, meaning a high percentage of surviving copies suffer from glue damage, paper residue on the reverse, or creasing from being handled and mounted.  They are not easy to pick up in original mint form.

Produced by Sigma Sport Silhouettes in Bridgnorth, Salop and printed by Prescott-Pickup & Co. Ltd., the company vanished after this release, leaving no known warehouse finds or archived distribution records.
